Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-24
This policy explains how SayItBest, operated by an individual ("we", "us"), handles information when you use SayItBest.org and SayItSmart.org (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy and our Terms of Service.
The short version
We don't store what you write. We count how many rewrites are used each day so we can enforce free limits. We don't sell your information.
Text you submit
Text you submit is sent to our own server, rewritten by an open-source AI model running on that server, and returned to you. It is held in memory only for that request. We do not write it to our database or logs, and we never send it to a third-party AI provider. Please don't submit sensitive personal information (such as health, financial, or government ID details) about yourself or others.
Information we collect
- Usage counters: a keyed one-way hash of your network address (not the address itself) with a daily counter, used only to enforce daily limits and deleted after about two days.
- Server logs: our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser type, referring page) for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting, for a limited period.
- Accounts: not currently offered, so we collect no email addresses or passwords.
Voice dictation
If you use the microphone button, speech recognition is performed by your browser or device. Depending on your browser, its provider (for example, Google for Chrome) may process your audio under its own privacy policy. We never receive or store audio; we receive only the resulting text when you press "Make It Better".
Cookies and advertising
We use only essential browser storage (to remember your cookie choice and tone preference). If we show advertising in the future, ads may be served by Google AdSense only after you choose "Accept all" in our cookie banner; Google and its partners may then use cookies to personalize and measure ads. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising without your consent. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a sale or reorganization of the Service.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashing, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or U.S. state privacy laws such as California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. Because we keep so little information, there may be nothing to provide. To make a request, email info@designbreeze.io. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Children
The Service is intended for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
International users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy; we will change the date above when we do. Questions: SayItBest · info@designbreeze.io
